Subject: Wannabees

Friends,

Everybody wants to be a Ranger---just don't want to do what it takes to be
one.

Following is heads-up from John Hollstein regarding this story;
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Of interest, I just heard this morning [still should check it out]
out that Ginzberg (Monica's trash lawyer) told the press that he had been a
"captain in the Airborne-Rangers". "Time" magazine checked him out, and
found that he had only been a motor pool officer in a leg outfit and was
neither airborne nor Ranger.
    When they confronted him about it, he said "that's a period I don't
want to talk about" and changed the subject.
   Still hearsay to me at this point. Shall see if it is written in
"Time". Apparently it is. Has anyone seen this.
    The good news is that publications are learning to check some boasts of
elite status.
    On a broader note. We still need to develop a database of the names
and info of all Rangers sometime in the future. I don't think we have seen
the end of this.
